News is heating up as we get closer to the reboot of Evil Dead. Writer/director Fede Alvarez has shared a behind-the-scenes look at the woods where the Book of the Dead awaits. Down this trail waits a cabin, with a book wrapped in human flesh that will unleash demons on Earth.
In more Evil Dead news according to Variety, Red Riding Hood star Shiloh Fernandez is venturing back into the woods to appear in the Evil Dead reboot.

According to Deadline Jane Levy is in talks to play the lead in the remake of Evil Dead. This has now beed confirmed by Deadline. Jane Levy replaces Lily Collins, who exited the film recently. Levy is the star of the ABC series Suburgatory,
and stars in Fun Size, the Josh Schwartz-directed film for Paramount.
Revisions of the script were done by Oscar-winning writer Diablo Cody and Bruce Campbell is already confirmed for a cameo.
In this version the story centers on five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin where they discover a Book Of The Dead and unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.
The Evil Dead reboot is scheduled for release on April 12th, 2013.

It would be like a remake of Top Hat, or the Marx Brothers without the Marx Brothers. The micro-budget and necessary creativity needed to make this film work in the first place will be lost in a higher-budget remake, even if it's fantastic.0 points
