Playback will will be available on-demand February 3, 2012  and in theaters on March 9, 2012 from Magnet Releasing.  Playback is about a group of high school students who investigate their towns infamous past and unwittingly unlock an even darker secret. Now, an evil spirit has been awakened and will stop at nothing to find his true heir.

In the trailer we see some crazy clips of a lady screaming for her baby.  We also learn that in 1994 a killer videotaped the murders of his own family and in 2012 the tapes are re-found.  After watching the trailer it looks like this film will have something to do about getting caught in the camera lens and being captured, or your something about your soul taken through the video.  Watch the Playback Official Trailer below.

Playback stars Christian Slater, Ambyr Childers, Toby Hemingway, Jonathan Keltz, Jennifer Missoni, Daryl "Chill" Mitchell, Johnny Pacar, and Alessandra Torresani.  Playback is written and directed by Michael Nickles.

According to Magnolia/Magnet President Eamonn Bowles "Playback is very scary and a lot of fun,” he said “We think it will be a hit with horror fans.”
