- I live in Ontario. From what I understand, we actually have a censor board, and many of the theatrical releases we get and dvd releases have been cut (mostly for violence, not sex, oddly enough(for a censor board). have you found that, and do you know if they still do that.
I saw Peter Jackson's Dead/Alive in quebec(prob 15 yrs ago), and then rented it in Ottawa, and it had been diced by nearly 40 minutes, and the colour of blood in the film had been toned down to a greyish brown. needless to say, it was not the mirthful joy it had been in quebec.
I live in ontario again and download a lot of what i watch, but i do buy videos and go to the theatre. It drives me nuts to think that when i actually pay for a film, unless it says, "uncut", that I am getting a version editted by a low level civil servant.
sorry for the strange message from a stranger, but i have been thinking about it lately and there are only seven of us here(on the ossuary) from canada
