I know we've done this thread in a number of different ways...basically listing our top (pick a number) favorite horror films.  But, let's say you can put together a dvd box set of 5 horror films...what would you pick? (my thinking here is not what my 5 favorite horror movies are, but what would make a cool theme for a dvd collection...for example: a haunted house collection, or a killer animal collection...that kind of thing).

I'd like to see a "demons gone wild" collection.

It would consist of...

The Exorcist

Poltergeist

The Evil Dead

Blair Witch Project

Amityville Horror (original).

The horror comedy collection:

Shaun of the Dead

Evil Dead II

Dead Alive/Braindead

Poultrygeist:  Night of the Chicken Dead

Blood Car

(I'm keeping it to movies that are SUPPOSED to be horror comedies.)

I didn't like Christmas Evil, but I do want to see Santa's Slay with Bill Goldberg.  It's supposed to be utterly terrible.....and hilarious.

The proto-slasher pack:

Black Christmas

Bay Of Blood

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Psycho

Halloween (yes, I know its really a slasher and not just a forerunner, but it provided the genre with firm rules that have endured to this day, and I'd say it was Friday 13th that created slashers as a 'genre' by adhering to these rules and commercializing them.)
