Shhhh......Hear that?  Sneaking up behind you?  That's the sound of producer of the original Children of the Corn Donald Borchers preparing to possibly be the latest to rape your horror memories.  I say possibly because he's claiming he's gonna keep it scary and close to King's original short story.  I also say possibly....because IT'S PREMIERING ON THE SCI-FI CHANNEL IN 2009!!!! (dark dramatic downbeat).....

In my opinion, i'll watch it when it premieres on scifi...but since the ending of the original was what it was, and scifi is KNOWN for bad CGI, my expectations are bottom of the barrel low......

Well, since I thought the original sucked, even at the time, a remake has nowhere to go but up with me I'll probably watch it. And it'll probably be as bad you predict...

Children of the Corn is boss. BUt I'm not looking forword to it.

Had the potential to be one of the scariest movies ever made. Let's hope they get it right this time.

I love Children of the Corn but freely admit that the ending is very cheesy.  I always thought that a re-make of it was in order.  That being said, if it is premiering on Sci-Fi I am not hoping for much.  Most of the movies on that channel are just absolutely terrible.  They are worse than B-movies in my opinion.

I am not sure that anyone could find creepier people to play Isaac and Malachai than the original actors.

The boy that's going to play Isaac... I've seen his acting and I can't see him in this role, though hopefully he'll surprise me.
