I don't know if anyone else experiences this or not, but practically every time I access something on this site, I get the message "Transferring data from ossuary.best-horror-movies.com..." in the status line of my browser. In fact, I'm seeing it right now. Once I see it, it never goes away. This in itself isn't such a big deal, but it does cause problems: for instance, I can neither delete nor set as default many of the pics I've uploaded. When I click on them in the My Pix section, the browser just displays the message and sits there, cruelly mocking me. Also, if I'm in the forums, I can't backtrack with the Back button in my browser. Again, it just sits there doing nothing. I have to hit the Back button again, which usually takes me back to the Ossuary home page and pisses me the hell off.

.

It's not as if it's actually transferring any data, btw--at least as far as I can tell. All the text and images on the page are displaying properly, including the banner ads which work as intended (I tested to make sure). Also, this happens with three different browsers--two Mozilla-based browsers, Firefox and Flock, as well as Opera.

Hey Pastor,

I occasionally have that trouble when I work from TN where I have slow-ass satellite Internet but not so much with my good DSL in Atlanta. As I am able I duplicate the trouble and have my tech guy fix it... but it's slow going.

Over the next couple of weeks I am transitioning the site to a super-powered dedicated server with a boat-load of bandwidth (in preparation for the article coming up in USA Today) and I am hoping that this helps the problem. Keep  me posted as to how this is going and we'll get through it.

Thanks!

Don

Czar,  I also can't upload any music or videos for my profile. It just hangs when I try. Again, all browsers.

How do you mean "hangs"?  Because with mine, sometimes it shows up as 0:00 in runtime for about a minute, then it all loads up and the runtime appears properly and never has a problem again.   I also havent uploaded anything in a couple weeks though, so I dont know if its a new problem.  Nice photo btw.

Well, in Ubuntu Linux, which I'm using, if something stops responding, it turns grey and just sits there until you kill the process. That's what happens with my browsers when I try to upload videos, music, and certain graphics files. (It may have to do with the size, I'm not sure, but the sizes are within the limits of what's acceptable for your site, so I don't think it's the site software that's cutting them off.) I suspect it's the non-IE browsers I'm using, but unless other people report similar problems I can't be sure. Is everyone out there using IE?

Basically, I just wanted to give you a heads up. Smile

Could be the non-IE  browsers, but Firefox works fantastic for me.
