In an effort to revive this forum, I would like to propose a new topic. Let's list all the films we can think of that feature cults in them. It doesn't matter what kind of cult--Satan-worshippers, snake cults, etc.--it just has to feature a cult.

My offering: The Omega Man, with the apocalyptic, nuclear-mutant cult led by Anthony Zerbe.

(And Halloween, which features the song Don't Fear the Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult. Well, ok, scratch that one.)

the wicker man. I don't know what you would call the inhabitants of the island and thier belief system. Paganistic is definitely a good word, but I don't really know what kind of cult you could really label them as.

Besides those already mentioned:  I'm gonna go off the wall and say Disturbing Behavior.  I think the Blue Ribbons are far more culty and most think...much like most cliques.

Also, Hot Fuzz.  Because someone has to keep the village pleasant.

Hmm. Don't remember that one very well, but I've always considered a true cult as worshiping something (besides God)--snakes, Satan, aliens coming to whisk them away in a mothership, whatever. Also--and this is purely incidental, but true--usually cults are depicted in film wearing monk-like habits and chanting weird slogans and prayers.

But like I say, I don't remember EWS well at all. Maybe someone else can help here?

It's not the topic here but cause it was mentioned I am brining it up. I thought the original Wicker man was really boring.

But here's an entry anyway.

How about Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom?
