I've read all of the Harry Potter books ATLEAST 4 times each, and i just got done reading the last one for the 5th time. I'm so depressed that it's over. I want more! It's like this need. I have a need to read Harry Potter!!

Any other Harry Potter lovers out there?

I got tired of it part way through the fifth one... I really liked the first three, but after that I just kinda lost interest... I think she's probably a really good writer, but the plots just don't seem to interest me that much.

i'm with you orlandofan i absolutely love harry potter - both books and films! it gets kinda depressing when you finish them - have you tried reading the spin-off books from harry potter. They are 'Quidditch through the ages' and 'fantastic beasts' and there is always 'The tales of beddle the bard'! You've might have read them all it was just a suggestion so that you don't have to start from the beginning to satisfy your need for HP!!!!

I would classify myself as a fan. Both Books and movies have been very well done. They get kids reading! Which is a huge plus for me.

I own all the movies and I hate myself for it.  I've never really tried to define what it is about them that irritates me...I guess it's that he's a wuss.  I just can't like him.  He doesn't seem to have grown that much in 5 movies...still incompetent, insecure and whiny.  And I also think Rowling has gotten a ton of undue credit for originality.  There isn't anything in there that I haven't seen before (though I'm pretty nerdy).

But the latin thing..."reducto!"...ugh.

I love Robbie Coltrane and Richard Harris (very sad to lose him) and I don't mind their roles, but I find the movie slightly demeaning to the likes of Oldman, Fiennes, and Rickman.

It may all be Radcliffe's fault though, but I won't know until I see him do something else.  Ha.

I don't like the movies nearly as much. And yes, i've read "Quidditch Through The Ages" and "Fantastic Beasts", but I haven't read "Tales of Beedle the Bard". I didn't know she actually published the stories!

Big fan. Over in the Potter 6 thread I told a story about how far my geek-dom goes. The books were amazing reads. The first three were a little kiddy for me. Good, but just a little to kiddy. From the Goblet of Fire on, the series is great. I'm kind of opposed to the two part Deathly Hallows. I think they could pull it off with one movie and hit all the important stuff. The movie would probably be over three hours long, but that doesn't bother me.

Meh, I feel that any plot that can be resolved with magic isn't worth reading, but I won't rain on your parade. After all I have read the first 5. I don't like Harry himself either.

I pose a conundrum to ya....a riddle if you will.  What do you get when you combine the opening of Zombieland with Harry Potter?  This:
