I really need to create a forum area for non-horror movies because... I'm going to talk about another one.

I may be betraying my dorkiness by telling you how excited I am about another Indiana Jones movie.  Sure, Harrison Ford is getting up there in years, but those flicks were great in my opinion. I have already started my marathon of the previous three so that I am fresh for the new one coming out May 22.

I too share your excitement!! I cant wait!

So who cares if Harrison Ford is getting a little on the "mature" side!! Everyone gets old (except the Simpson family!!) and I would prefer Indie played by an old Harrison Ford than some random bloke! It just would not be the same! (Funny that my mind is drawn to a certain Bond movie!!)

Last weekend The Temple of Doom was on TV and it was great! I really enjoyed watching it! I had forgotten how good it was! The mine cart scene at the end of the movie is awesome!! Roll on 22 May!

Crystal Skulls opened in Aus last week and I saw it couple nights ago, thought it was good but not as good as the other three flicks. Harrison's still got it but he's definitely showing his age, particularly in the opening scenes in the warehouse he's got a bit of old man stoop happening. I enjoyed it, it was a fun bit of throwaway entertainment. A minor gripe is that they CGI'd a few action scenes and the main thing I enjoyed about the others was the hair-raising stunts.

I've heard that a few times now - good but not as good as the prior three. I still want to see it - haven't yet. I'm interested to see if it's not as good because our tastes in action movies have changed over the years, or if it is just not as good period.  I watched the prior three over the last week in preparation for the new one, and they are all very cheesy - I love them, but they are cheesy... part of the charm I guess...

I watched the other three as well before i went to see it, and yes i agree they are very cheesy and i definitely looked on them with a more, how should i say, cynical eye this time round, and i still love 'em all too, although Temple of Doom i reckon has aged the worst of the three, and nothing will ever beat Raiders for me...but crystal skulls just somehow lacks the heart of the other 3...anyway...it's worth seeing :)

I saw it on opening day and loved it. It wasn't as good as Raiders or Last Crusade, but it was still very good. I thought Spielberg and Co. did a great job re-capturing the magic of the previous installments. I especially loved the setting in the 50's. The opening shot on the highway was beautiful! It may not have been the best of the series, but it was definitely very entertaining. B+

It started out well, with the silhouette of the famous hat and him turning to face the camera and grumbling "Russians..." but by the end of the movie i thought it was into "run of the mill action movie" territory, i also thought Karen Allen was woefully underused...I mean, why bring her back at all if you're not going to give her memorable lines etc? Anyway...off topic...Harrison Ford inhabits the role like no-one else could, he'll always be Indy...
