How many of you have a favorite Scream Queen? What do you know about your scream Queen?

I do not know if she could be classified as a true "scream queen" but I am a huge fan of Angela Bettis. I was also a fan of Heather Langenkamp back in the day.

Jeanette Scott from Day of the Triffids, the 1962 version. She was the chick trapped in the lighthouse with the scientist-dude. Again dunno if she really counts but she sure could scream a lot...

I like Adrienne Barbeau and of course Jamie Lee Curtis.

Jamie Lee is good and was great eye candy when she was younger. Now I really like Jessica Alba in Awake and The Eye, amazing eye candy!

Scout Taylor-Compton from Rob Zombie's Halloween, and the direct to DVD remake of April Fool's Day. She may not be a GREAT actress, but man, she can scream!

Jamie Lee is always going to be my favorite of all time. I, however, never really considered her "eye candy"... but she sure did tear up the dance floor in Prom Night.

My new favorite is also my biggest crush, Melissa Bacelar. I'm hoping that we see more of her around so that she starts to get some scream queen notoriety.

I agree with Jamie Lee Curtis.  And I DEFINITELY agree with Angela Bettis.

But...NO ONE's mentioned Erin Brown yet?  Really?  Don't downgrade her just because she's also Misty Mundae, the soft-core porn star.  She's really nice, and she's definitely contributed to our genre...see "Sinful", "Masters of Horror:  Sick Girl", "The Lost", "The Rage", etc.  Tremendously underrated as an actress.

My favorite of all time has got to be Shelley Duvall in The Shining, but not in a good way. Her screaming and whining in that film was so over the top it wasn't even over the top anymore, imo. I thought her overall performance, along with Scatman Caruthers', nearly brought down the movie. They undoubtedly would have without Nicholson there to save the day. But for really good, convincing scream queens, there is no other: Jamie Lee.

I would say Linnea Quigley, Marilyn Burns, Pam Grier (I know she isn't a scream queen, but I absolutely love all of those 70's films she was in), Karen Black,  and Vampira!
