Hey everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself a bit, I have been a horror movie fan for as long as I can remember (actually, probably right around 1980). I see a few people on this board are not really fans of modern horror movies, and I also have to agree. I like a lot of the movies, but they are not horror. I do a radio show on PinkGator Radio on Thursday nights, on which I  play mainly Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, and Industrial music, but I switch genres a lot to keep it interesting. Glad to see a nice active horror board here on these internets.

Great to meet you Dr...

On one level I agree with the several that have voiced disappointment with modern horror movies... but on another hand I still love them. I guess I'm a complete nerd because I can get into the mass hysteria modern horror as well as the classics.

Hope to see even more expansion on the theme from you here... and again, welcome!

Hey Dr. Daze!  I'm also a DJ...here at "Mountain Grown Radio"....most of us are volunteer DJ's.  I do a show when it fits into my schedule since I work Monday through Friday.  Our radio station out here is kind of mellow...sort of hippie-ish "jam bandy" (which I really can't stand, truthfully), so when I do get an opportunity to do a show, I rock it out with QOTSA, Tracy Bonham, PJ Harvey, Skeleton Key, Barkmarket, Electric Six, etc.  The listening audience always calls in and sez they like it...maybe I can turn these folks into rockers...that's my dream!  I'm from the East Coast; born in Washington DC and grew up in Maryland...the last 9 years in Baltimore City before I moved out here to a small mountain town 2 years ago.  I'm trying to make my mark here and show these folks something new.  I stick out like a sore thumb with my bright red hair and nose ring...and I love it... :)

Nan,

It should work, but that code needs to be put into the html area - you'll see an "html" button up top that should do the trick.  I'll try to go in and test this one for you.

There you go Nan.  So, again... click on the "html" button when you edit which will bring up a screen where you can input the code.... you will also see your typing there but all of the code elements for formatting will be visible also.  Let me know if you have more questions.

great clip.  great movie.

Being a DJ, do you ever hope someone calls and requests "Misty"?

Sorry -- corny I know  -- but that was a good movie when Eastwood was trying to get away from Westerns.

No, no Misty! LOL.

Going camping this weekend at 9,300 feet altitude...should be some good ideas for a horror movie while I'm up there!  I started reading "The Ruins" last night...good so far and it has so many good reviews...hope I'm not disappointed!!
