I want to know what the rest of you think. I know most of you have read about the woman having her 18th child, does anyone have an opinion on that? The family's name is Dugger.

Ugh.  The Duggars (the horror, the horror...).  I have the misfortune of live in a neighboring town.

Supposedly, through a combination of frugality, organization, and a small family fortune, The Duggars are self-sufficient and are not supposed to get any welfare or public assistance.  They are a bit more religious than the norm, but they do not belong to a cult or anything and are not procreating so excessively because of any perceived religious edict (if they are, it's not common knowledge hereabouts).  Supposedly, Mr. and Mrs. Duggar just really, REALLY like having lots of children around.  Myself, I think it's weirder than Hell (but then, I like children best when they're properly deep-fried: mm-mmm, tastes just like chicken  ), but it's still a vaguely free country, and I guess people can have as many children as they can stand and afford to take care of.

They're kind of a regional embarrassment (like this state doesn't already have a wretched rep), but aside from Jim Bob Duggar's (the family patriarch) abortive run for public office (on a personal note: I happen to believe that when someone has that many children, they should stay home to be a parent to their kids and not waste time being a politician...also, I have some serious misgivings about the man's judgement), they seem to be numerous but mostly harmless.
