Okay, I just got around to checking the 2008 top 100 horror movies, to see if there were some new ones I need to add to my Netflix que...and low and behold...The Exorcist is still number 1 -- WHY!!!!?!?!?!? 

I remember getting this movie on DVD, and sitting down for a good scare, and um...nope.  No scare.  Hardly a chill.  While I do understand that 20 years ago, and perhaps to people scared of religion, this movie may have been the end all be all.  BUT -- Alien?  Aliens? or even Poltergiest scared me more than that lackluster flick declared the best horror movie...AGAIN!

Please, I beg you, someone, anyone explain this to me. 

Thanks for letting me vent, now I am off to add a few movies to my que.
