I am a Wiccan (lapsed) and a long time scholar of anything that I found to be beyond the realm of the everyday: folklore, mythology, legends, magic, the occult, and of course horror movies. I am particularly into Zombie flicks and as you might tell by the nickname and the headline- anything to do with the many types/incarnations of the boogeyman. If you are like me then you can't help but plan how you would survive and deal with the crazy situations that you see in horror films and the most enjoyable films are the ones where you think you might have a chance in hell of survival. That of course is the zombie side of it (slasher side would work here too) survive a zombie apocalypse or an attack by a crazed slasher. Then the boogeyman, supernatural, evil entity side of it well that is scary because let's face it you would be just plain screwed. Am I right? Isn't it fun to be scared? It is like being a child looking into the dark again....

<p>I'm 19, female, and a Film Studies major. I'm film obsessed. Any genre will do, but I watch way more horror movies and read more about horror than I do any other genre in general. It's very curious, because I went from being a child who was extremely fearful of everything. Black Beauty and Patch Adams terrified me when I was small, and my family can't believe this transformation (I blame my father, who introduced me to "The Lady Vanishes" and the Hitchcock world). Today, I go through many phases of what sorts of horror movies I like and try to watch at least one new movie each day, most of the time horror.

<p>Lover of horror films, particularly the sort I watched in my early teens in the 80s. The first horror I remember watching was Halloween when I was about 7. Its still scares the hell out of me and remains one of my favourites. Maybe it's nostalgia, or maybe they really don't make 'em like they used to.
